Mauro Icardi Scores Major Legal Win as Italian Court Rejects Wanda Nara’s €480,000 Monthly Divorce Claims

Argentine football star Mauro Icardi has secured a major legal victory in his highly publicised divorce battle with Wanda Nara after an Italian court rejected her multimillion-euro financial demands and dismissed her appeal.

The former couple’s bitter separation took a new turn after the Italian courts ruled against Nara’s request for massive provisional financial support, which reportedly amounted to nearly €480,000 per month.

In a post shared on his Instagram Stories on Monday, Icardi revealed details of the financial claims presented by Nara’s legal team during the divorce proceedings.

According to the striker, the demands included €250,000 monthly for Nara herself, €65,000 per month for each of their two daughters, and an additional €100,000 monthly divorce compensation claim.

Celebrating the court decision, the 33-year-old footballer wrote: “Good morning Milan. Over here, it’s all good news. There has been a new ruling.”

Icardi claimed that on June 1, 2026, the judge rejected the financial requests, describing them as excessive. He added that after Nara’s legal team appealed the decision, the Italian courts on July 27 declared the appeal “inadmissible.”

“This effectively puts an end to all claims and demands. There is now only one final step left before the divorce judgement is finalised,” Icardi said, while praising the Italian justice system.

The ruling from the Milan Tribunal, presided over by Judge Anna Cattaneo, reportedly found that Nara was not entitled to provisional maintenance payments. The court noted that the television personality and entrepreneur has a strong financial position, describing her economic situation as “very prosperous” (molto florida).

The judge also considered Nara’s professional background and ability to generate independent income as factors in rejecting the temporary financial claims.

Icardi and Nara, who married in 2014, share two daughters and have been involved in a high-profile separation marked by public disagreements, financial disputes, and legal battles.

The divorce proceedings have attracted widespread attention in both Argentina and Italy, with the couple’s personal disputes frequently making headlines.

Following Icardi’s announcement, Nara responded publicly, insisting that the final decision on divorce compensation has not yet been reached. She argued that she remains entitled to financial support in the final ruling and questioned aspects of Icardi’s own circumstances.

Despite Icardi’s latest legal victory, the divorce process is not completely over. Final decisions regarding the dissolution of the marriage, long-term financial arrangements, and other outstanding matters are still pending.
